Start with why you are leaving
Superpower gets a lot right for $199 a year. One draw and 100+ biomarkers. A care team you can message around the clock, plus a biological age. It uploads past labs and syncs Oura, Whoop and Apple Health. Three things still pull people away.
You want a clinician on every result. Function Health reviews each one and flags what needs attention. That covers 160+ lab tests, split over an annual and a mid-year panel. It is $365 for the first year, close to double. That review is most of what the difference buys.
You want the recommendation kept apart from the shop. Superpower’s protocol recommends supplements, and Superpower runs a discounted marketplace selling them at up to 20% off. That is a normal way to build a business. It is also a reason to want a second opinion from somewhere with nothing on the shelf.
You already have results. If your doctor draws blood every year, a testing membership is paying for a draw you were getting anyway. What you are short of is not the panel.
Function Health — the wider panel with a clinician on it
$365 for the first year, charged once a year. That buys a 100+ test annual panel and a 60+ test mid-year follow-up. Both are drawn at 2,000+ US lab locations. Clinicians review every result. MRI and CT scans are separate add-ons. Function takes HSA and FSA funds, and notes that testing in New York and New Jersey can cost more.

Mito Health — the lowest subscription, panels at cost
$9 a month. The Core Panel is $197.62 for members and $276.80 without. Mito passes lab pricing through instead of bundling it, which suits ordering a panel now and then. A clinician answers by text. InsideTracker — DNA and wearables in the same score
$149 a year for the platform, plus $340 and up per test. A mobile phlebotomist costs $119 more. A standalone Blood Results Upload plan is $119 and analyses up to 43 biomarkers from a test somebody else ordered. It is the only option here that folds blood, DNA and tracker data into one score. The alternative that reads what you already have
Decode is an iPhone app that reads a lab report you already own. A photo, a PDF, or Apple Health, from Quest, Labcorp, a hospital printout or a Superpower export. It puts each number next to a figure a named physician or research scientist stated on the record. It plays the video from the moment they said it. It also scans a supplement label and grades it at your own numbers. $12.99 a month or $79.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial.
It sells no supplements, runs no marketplace and takes no affiliate money. That is the whole reason it can point at somebody else’s number instead of its own. There is no draw to protect and no shelf to clear.
Your lab calls a ferritin of 20 normal. The number on the record is 45.
